Diesel fuel injectors are a somewhat modern improvement that enable higher gas mileage whilst with the same time facilitating the development of additional horsepower and torque, also as cleaner emissions. So as for injectors to function at their optimum degree they need a provide of clean fuel. This is why the fuel filter is so vitally significant to all fuel injectors as any contaminant or piece of debris can obstruct the system inside the injector and trigger efficiency to lower.
In regular specification, the injectors of most diesel autos and vans are created to provide the best economic climate, rather than the best performance. Making use of efficiency orientated injectors, even so, it is feasible to change this balance to increase the movement via price of diesel fuel and realize big raises in output from your engine. If you are trying to seriously boost the overall performance of your diesel engine inside your automobile or truck then 1 of the most effective ways of attaining additional enhancements in energy and torque would be to use larger efficiency oriented diesel fuel injectors.
Now, upon hearing this, almost everyone would suppose that injecting additional fuel in to the engine would improve fuel consumption, but in fact this isn’t usually accurate as there are many techniques during which “larger” fuel injectors are distinguished from their standard counterparts. 1 frequent way that performance orientated components can improve the power and torque output of a diesel engine would be to use a higher variety of holes or nozzles. Performing this implies that once the fuel is squirted out in to the cylinder it generates a lot more of a wonderful mist of liquid which may be burnt additional efficiently thereby growing efficiency.

Winter Driving
Snowy or Icy conditions
To drive your vehicle in deep snow, it may be necessary to use snow tires or to install tire chains on your tires. If snow tires are needed, it is necessary to select tires equivalent in size and type of the original equipment tires. Failure to do so may adversely affect the safety and han- dling of your car. Furthermore, speeding, rapid acceleration, sudden brake appli- cations, and sharp turns are potentially very hazardous practices.
During deceleration, use engine braking to the fullest extent. Sudden brake appli- cations on snowy or icy roads may cause skids to occur. You need to keep suffi- cient distance between the vehicle in operation in front and your vehicle. Also, apply the brake gently. It should be noted that installing tire chains on the tire will provide a greater driving force, but will not prevent side skids.
Use high quality ethylene glycol coolant
Your vehicle is delivered with high quality ethylene glycol coolant in the cooling system. It is the only type of coolant that should be used because it helps prevent corrosion in the cooling system, lubri- cates the water pump and prevents freezing. Be sure to replace or replenish your coolant in accordance with the maintenance schedule in Section 7. Before winter, have your coolant tested to assure that its freezing point is sufficient for the temperatures anticipated during the winter.
Emergency Starting
Jump starting
Jump starting can be dangerous if done incorrectly. Therefore, to avoid harm to yourself or damage to your vehicle or battery, follow the jump starting proce- dures. If in doubt, we strongly recom- mend that you have a competent techni- cian or towing service jump start your vehicle.
Jump starting procedure
1. Make sure the booster battery is 12- volt and that its negative terminal is grounded.
2.If the booster battery is in another vehicle, do not allow the vehicles to touch.
3. Turn off all unnecessary electrical loads.
4. Connect the jumper cables in the exact sequence shown in the illustration. First connect one end of a jumper cable to the positive terminal of the discharged battery (1), then connect the other end to the positive terminal on the booster battery (2). Proceed to connect one end of the other jumper cable to the negative terminal of the booster battery (3), then the other end to a solid, stationary, metallic point (for example, the engine lifting bracket) away from the battery (4). Do not con- nect it to or near any part that moves when the engine is cranked.
Do not allow the jumper cables to con- tact anything except the correct battery terminals or the correct ground. Do not lean over the battery when making connections.
5. Start the engine of the vehicle with the booster battery and let it run at 2,000 rpm, then start the engine of the vehi- cle with the discharged battery.
If the cause of your battery discharging is not apparent, you should have your vehi- cle checked by an authorized Hyundai dealer.

2011 Chevrolet Malibu Owner’s Manual Guide
2011 Chevrolet Malibu Owner’s Manual Guide :
Traction Control System (TCS)
The vehicle may have a Traction Control System (TCS) that limits wheel spin. This is especially useful in slippery road conditions. The system operates only if it senses that the front wheels are spinning too much or are beginning to lose traction. When this happens, the system works the front brakes and reduces engine power by closing the throttle and managing engine spark to limit wheel spin.
The Traction Control System is automatically enabled whenever the vehicle is started. To limit wheel spin, especially in slippery road conditions, always leave the system enabled. TCS can be turned off if needed.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC
The vehicle has an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system which combines antilock brake, traction and stability control systems and helps the driver maintain directional control of the vehicle in most driving conditions.
When you first start the vehicle and begin to drive away, the system performs several diagnostic checks to ensure there are no problems. The system may be heard or felt while it is working. This is normal and does not mean there is a problem with the vehicle. The system should initialize before the vehicle reaches 32 km/h (20 mph).
Cruise Control
Cruise control lets a speed of about 40 km/h (25 mph) or more be maintained without keeping your foot on the accelerator. This can really help on long trips. Cruise control does not work at speeds below 40 km/h (25 mph).
When the brakes are applied, the cruise control shuts off.
